InterFAX is about to undergo a major upgrade, intended to create two separate and mutually-redundant data centers.  The objective of this upgrade is to improve our system availability even further.  By creating two independent data centers, service will continue working even if one of the centers should experience an outage.

Both data centers will be full working copies of InterFAX's heart of operations.  They will be located in two high-availability, geographically separate, colocation centers in the United Kingdom.

Our subscribers need not do anything to enjoy the higher availability of the service.  Your emails and your Web Service calls will be automatically routed to an available data center.  In the event of an outage in one center, you will be automatically routed around the problem to the live data center.

This planned upgrade is one out of two steps which will be taken in this project.  The upgrade will continue later in October, but should not cause an outage.

We appreciate your understanding, and will attempt to minimize the downtime required for this upgrade.  Please feel free to comment on this announcement on our forum
