News & Announcements20 Jun 2006 Support added for Word 2003 XML filesIn MS Office 2003 Microsoft introduced the concept of an open document format called Office 2003 XML, which it is attempting to standardize internationally. This format enables the usage of XML - as opposed to the more commonly used binary format - for storage of Office documents such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. We have recently added support for Microsoft 2003 XML files of sub-type WordprocessingML. This means that documents exported to XML from Word 2003 (and higher), or created by third-party means according to Microsoft's published XML Reference will be successfully accepted and faxed by InterFAX. Support for additional subtypes will be added over time and as required by our clients. You can comment on this announcement in our forum. |
