Client Installation Instructions - Windows 7

Step 1: Install Microsoft Fax Components to Server

InterFAX FAXBridge assumes that the fax components have already been activated and configured.
If you need help activating the components please click here.

Step 2: Download FAXBridge

  1. Download the InterFAX FAXBridge driver here.
  2. Click Run
  3. On Welcome to InterfaxFSP press Next.
  4. On License Agreement choose I Agree and then click Next.
  5. On Confirm Installation click Next.
  6. On InterfaxFSP Information click Next.
  7. On Information Complete press Close.

Please allow up to five seconds for installation to complete.

(Note to Internet Explorer users; if you are unable to download the FAXBridge driver you may need to add InterFAX to your trusted sites within the Security tab in Internet Options.)

Step 3: Configure FAXBridge

Once you have installed FAXBridge you will need to complete configuration.

  1. Click on Start then All Programs.
  2. Then select the InterfaxFSP from the list of programs.
  3. The Properties Manager will then open.
  4. On the Main tab enter your Interfax username and password, then click Test Connection.
  5. (Note: If connection fails please adjust your firewall settings to allow access.)

  6. Click on InterfaxFSP Advanced and ensure that the following boxes are marked:
  7. • Use only InterFAXFSP for Sending Faxes
    • Generate Banner
    • Enable Receive
    • Generate Log File

  8. Click on InterfaxFSP Network and ensure that the SSL Connection box is checked.
  9. Click on InterfaxFSP Users Inbound and add users who wish to send and receive faxes.
  10. Press OK to complete configuration and restart Windows Fax Service.

Step 4: Receive a test fax

Ensure that routing locations and server configuration settings are correct by sending a fax to your InterFAX number from a computer outside of your network to your server.

Step 5: Send a test fax

You can send a fax from a client computer using any of the following methods:
• Send a fax as e-mail
• Send a fax using Send Fax Wizard
• Send a fax from a Windows-based program

Installation is now complete.
