How to customize fields in the Inbound Queue

You can customize fields in the Inbound Queue to specify which fields to display when viewing items in your Inbound Queue. This can help you to visualize and understand your data, to organize and find the documents that you want, and ultimately to make better decisions.

InterFAX provides a set of common properties (document metadata) describing your received documents. The default set includes the most popularly used properties in this order: Owner, Pages, CSID, Caller ID, Received/Shared, and Duration. You can add Document Type, Document name, Share time, Tags, or Reference. With InterFAX, you can add, delete, and re-order fields according to your own needs.

Instructions

To customize fields in the Inbound Queue

  1. To display the Inbound Queue, click FAX QUEUES > Inbound Queue.
  2. Click Set queue fields
  3. In the Set inbound queue fields dialog box, to add a field, click the + sign next to the relevant document property in the column on the right.
  4. The property moves to the bottom of the list on the left
  5. To remove fields click the - sign next to the relevant document property in the column on the left.
    The field moves to the column on the right.
  6. To re-order fields, click the - sign and then click the + sign for that property.
    Doing this moves that property to the bottom of the list and to show at the right side of the Inbound Queue.
  7. Click Save.

Click Remove all to move all fields to the right. You may want to do this to add the fields in a specific order.

Click Add all to move all fields to the left. InterFAX add the fields to the bottom of the left column in order, and the fields appear in the Inbound Queue in order from left to right.

To return to InterFAX’s default settings, click Restore default.

Note:

Saved fields are user-, browser-, and device-specific fields. Therefore, if you log in with a different browser or a different device, you must customize your Inbound Queue fields for viewing with that browser or device.
